Overview
Toyota Financial Services (TFS) is a key part of Toyota, delivering an excellent customer experience and driving innovation in finance and insurance for Toyota and Lexus in North America. This position is based at Toyota Headquarters in Plano, TX, with onsite work Monday-Thursday and remote work on Fridays.

Who We're Looking For
A dynamic and experienced Data Science Manager to lead data-driven initiatives across various business domains such as Sales and Marketing, Credit Risk, Residual Value, Customer Management, and Collections. The role requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership to guide projects and team development.

What you’ll be doing

• Spearhead development of predictive and prescriptive models to drive business value.
• Establish and maintain data science best practices and quality standards.
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines for complex datasets.
• Translate insights into actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold high code quality standards.

Team Management

• Build and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists.
• Balance hands-on model development with strategic leadership.
• Drive project execution through direct reports and cross-functional teams.

Business Partnership

• Partner with leaders to identify opportunities for data science applications.
• Present analytical findings to stakeholders at all levels.
• Develop and execute data science strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging data science technologies.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• Master's degree or higher in a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in data science and analytics.
• Experience leading and mentoring data scientists.
• Proven success in delivering complex projects.

Technical expertise in Python, machine learning frameworks, and data pipelines is required. Soft skills include translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and excellent communication.

Additional qualifications that are a plus include a Ph.D., cloud platform experience, strategic leadership, and technical architecture knowledge.
