At EY, our Zscaler team empowers clients to navigate complex Enterprise Identity environments. You will evaluate, enhance, and design Zero Trust solutions, driving business impact in cybersecurity.

The Opportunity

The Zscaler Engineer Senior will oversee the implementation, management, and optimization of Zscaler security solutions. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure the security and performance of our network infrastructure, conducting risk assessments, and responding to security incidents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage Zscaler security solutions to protect our network infrastructure.
  • Monitor and manage security configurations for Zscaler services.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits of network environments.
  • Collaborate with IT and network teams to ensure secure deployment and management of network resources.
  • Respond to and investigate security incidents and breaches involving Zscaler solutions.
  • Implement and manage security policies and configurations within the Zscaler platform.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams on Zscaler security best practices.
  • Keep current with Zscaler security trends, threats, and technologies.
Skills and Attributes for Success
  • Solid understanding of Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA).
  • Proficiency in configuring, managing, and optimizing Zscaler services.
  • Knowledge of network security best practices and industry standards.
  • Ability to implement and manage security controls in network environments.
  • Understanding of network security principles and practices.
  • Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network segmentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to think critically and make data‑driven decisions.
  • Excellent documentation skills, including procedures, process documentation, and user documentation related to IAM applications.
Qualification Criteria
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in network security or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of Zscaler security solutions and their features.
  • Experience with network security tools and technologies.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks and standards (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
  • Strong understanding of network security, identity and access management, and encryption.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP), CISSP, or equivalent are a plus.
Ideally
  • Professional certifications in Zscaler, such as Zscaler for Users – Essentials.
  • Familiarity with additional cloud security technologies and tools (CSPM, Data Protection, AI, etc.).
  • Knowledge of cloud‑based security solutions and experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • In‑depth knowledge of Zscaler architecture, deployment, and configuration.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Power Shell, or Bash for automation and configuration management.
