Systems/Network Analyst 2

The University of New Mexico Information Technologies EMSS (Enterprise Managed Systems and Services) team is seeking a Systems/Network Analyst 2 to help maintain and expand a robust framework that supports current and future endpoint and identity services in a large and complex academic enterprise. The successful applicants will have expertise in identity management technologies, Microsoft Entra and M365 services, and device management tools.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides support for mission critical services, including over 300 servers, 8000 workstations, and 85000 accounts.
  • Uses enterprise tools to manage Windows and macOS devices and Active Directory/Entra  and groups.
  • Strictly adheres to established endpoint and account standards.
  • Provides technical assistance on a variety of projects with direct and positive impact to user experience and security at UNM.
  • Manages ITSM tasks effectively and completes them by their due dates while providing outstanding customer service.
  • Identifies and capitalizes upon opportunities for automation via scripting, job scheduling and related disciplines.
  • Documents and publishes information and instructions on systems, services and processes.
  • Responsible for meeting audit compliance including but not limited to FERPA, HIPAA, PCI, GLBA and Export control.
  • Serves as backup to SMEs for critical EMSS services.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves endpoint hardware, software, connectivity and security problems.
  • Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant technologies and systems.
  • Provides on-call support for EMSS team’s services.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

    Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.
