Azure Cloud Engineer

Travel Insured International (TII),a Crum & Forster company, is hiring a Azure Cloud Engineer in our IT team.

Reporting to the AVP, IT, this role will design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have experience in Azure infrastructure, automation, security, and Dev Opsto ensure scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud environments.

What you will do:

Azure Services:

• Deploy, configure, secure, and performance optimize the following services:
  Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Event Hub, Application Insights, Event Grid, APIM, Cosmos DB.
• Perform monitoring, logging, and alerting using
  
  Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Event Hub, and Application Insights.

Azure Infrastructure & Cloud Management:

• Design, deploy, and maintain
  
  Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions, including Virtual Machines, App Services, Storage Accounts, and Databases.
• Configure and manage
  
  Azure Networking(Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, VPNs, Express Route, NSGs).
• Implementbackup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions using Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery.
• Optimizecloud performance, cost, and scalabilityusing Azure Advisor and Cost Management.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

• Set up proactivemonitoring and alertsfor cloud performance, availability, and security incidents.
• Troubleshoot Azure service outages, performance bottlenecks, and networking issues.
• Work with development and security teams to resolve cloud-related challenges.

Security & Compliance:

• Implement Azure security best practices, including
  
  RBAC, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and Conditional Access.
• Support in regular penetration testing of configured environments
• Manage Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, and Key Vaultto protect cloud resources.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.)

What YOU will bring to C&F:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services is required
• 3+years in an Azure Cloud Engineer or similar role is required
• Strong understanding of Azure Compute, networking, security, and storage services is required
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using
  
  Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates is required
• Proficiency inscripting and automation using
  
  Power
  
  Shell, Python, or Bash is required
• Experience with
  
  CI/CD pipeline development using
  
  Azure Dev Ops or Git Hub Actions is required
• Strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory (AAD), RBAC, and authentication protocols(OAuth, SAML, MFA) is preferred
• Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS) is preferred
• Experience working in Agile and Dev Ops environments is preferred
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to articulate technical information to multiple audiences
• Self-driven mindset, comfortable taking ownership and adapting to shifting priorities
