Join Crowd Strike as an Engineering Manager for Charlotte AI, a generative AI–powered virtual security analyst. This role is remote‑first and located on the East Coast.
About the RoleAs an Engineering Manager, you will build and support the teams that develop and maintain Charlotte AI. Your focus will be on the wellbeing and professional growth of your team, driving hiring at scale, fostering an open and collaborative environment, and keeping roadmap delivery on track. You will work with cloud, SDET, front‑end engineers, AI/ML data scientists, product managers, and designer partners to deliver high‑quality, high‑scale AI‑powered security systems.
Responsibilities- Lead and build one or more teams of engineers focused on AI/ML engineering, backend systems, and UI/UX engineering.
- Manage organizational structure, workload, resource coordination, and project resourcing in a fast‑paced, highly distributed environment.
- Support team wellbeing, providing coaching, feedback, and skill development in AI/ML and distributed systems.
- Drive the recruitment process from initial contact to onboarding, emphasizing engineers passionate about AI and cybersecurity.
- Contribute to the product roadmap, setting up the group to deliver over the next 12‑18 months and sharing progress with stakeholders.
- Participate in roadmap planning and prioritize AI/ML projects based on human capacity and business objectives.
- Collaborate with AI/ML researchers, data scientists, and security experts to push the boundaries of AI in cyber defense.
- Enjoy solving challenging problems at the intersection of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
- Strong engineering track record and deep technical knowledge, preferably in AI/ML, distributed systems, or cloud‑native architectures.
- Experience with GenAI, LLMs, or agentic systems.
- Proven mentoring experience with empathy and professionalism in fast‑paced, innovation‑driven environments.
- Leadership experience establishing multiple teams for rapid iteration.
- Experience working with Product Managers and UX Designers to translate requirements into engineering solutions.
- Track record of shaping short‑ and medium‑term product roadmaps for customer‑facing products.
- Experience planning, tracking, delivering, and managing multiple projects in startup‑like settings.
- Understanding of modern software development practices: microservices, cloud platforms, and agile methodologies.
- Background in cybersecurity, AI/ML startups, or technical teams.
- Experience with Go, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS.
- Remote‑first experience and working with global teams.
- Knowledge of data pipelines, vector databases, and AI model training/deployment.

CompensationBase salary range for this U.S. position: $140,000 – $215,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants, and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
