Senior Director, Platform Engineering & Reliability

seeking a Senior Director, Platform Engineering & Reliability with deep expertise in Platform Engineering, Dev Ops, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). In this role, you will set strategic direction for our platform engineering and Dev Ops & SRE teams across a broad portfolio of product lines, responsible for defining best practices for CI/CD, observability, security, and performance. In this role, you will partner closely with cross-functional leadership to ensure our platform is secure, reliable, and extensible.

Provide direction and oversight for architectural decisions (reference architectures, ADRs, design reviews); ensure solutions meet scalability, security, privacy, and compliance requirements. Forge strategic partnerships with Security, Compliance, and Network teams to integrate reliability requirements into broader governance and risk management programs (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC
2) Serve as liaison between Product Management, Hardware Engineering, Security, Compliance, Customer Success, and General Managers (GMs) to align priorities, roadmaps, and ensure integrated, end-to-end solutions that meet stringent safety and regulatory requirements.
15+ years in software engineering with 8+ years in multi‑team leadership (Director/Senior Director) across Web Platform, Dev Ops, and/or SRE onstrated success selecting and consolidating technology stacks; experience with architectural governance (ADRs, reference architectures, platform standards).Hands‑on technical depth: ability to read code, review designs, inspect pipelines/telemetry, and guide teams through complex debugging and performance/resiliency challenges. Experience managing distributed global teams and multiple leaders;

strong stakeholder management with Product, Hardware, and Business executives.

** This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.  The expected Base Salary Range: $198,900 -$268,800.  The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
