  • Systems Architect to drive automation and AI initiatives using both custom-built solutions and Microsoft infrastructure. This role combines strategic architecture with hands-on development, dedicating up to 50% of time to coding and solution delivery. The architect will design scalable, secure systems that integrate AI capabilities and automation workflows to enhance efficiency and innovation. Strong collaboration skills and expertise in Microsoft platforms and modern development practices are essential.

    Successful candidates will have experience in automation solutions, has prior years in healthcare, knowledge and experience in implementation of AI solutions, and experience in Epic.

    Position will require candidates to work 5 days a week and pacific standard time.

  • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    • Information Services is committed to providing leadership, support and coordination of technology at Samaritan Health Services. The IS Infrastructure department provides a robust, agile and secure IT Infrastructure that supports SHS business objectives. The infrastructure includes, but is not limited to the following services: data network, voice, Windows and Linux server, data center, centralized endpoint management, enterprise operations and automation.

  • EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a computer science related field) or equivalent experience required. Master's degree preferred.
    • Ten (10) years recent experience in designing and programming applications or components required.
    • Five (5) years recent experience architecting software solutions required.
    • Industry recognized, current and relevant certification required within (1) year of hire.
    • Experience in the following required:
      • The use of relational and hierarchical database languages.
      • Software development lifecycle methodologies and processes (including agile methods).
      • Leading technical teams.
    • Experience in a healthcare environment strongly preferred.
