We are looking for the developer and maintainer for the test automation of various core components of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.

The candidate needs to have an insight into how various components of Linux work as well as have a knowledge of networking to be able to debug connectivity issues.

Czech Republic, Bulgaria… (remote work possible)

Are you interested in Linux and modern Open Source technologies? Do you enjoy automating various routine activities so that you don’t have to do them manually? Do you have or want to gain knowledge of various components of the modern Linux distribution? Do you have ever contributed to the Open Source project? Have you ever written scripts in languages like bash, perl or python you can show?

• Test development for the Open Source automation framework – openQA
• Testing networking and other core functionality
• Working on cross‑team development and implementation of QA testing and automation
• Designing, developing and maintaining automated tests
• Reviewing test results and reporting identified issues
• Scaling innovative process and test automation
• Performing related documentation tasks
• Process improvement
• Work on the community distribution

• Good knowledge of the Linux operating system and networking
• Experience with cloud technologies is desirable
• Interest in the automation area (experience is welcome)
• Dedication to improvement and innovation in testing and automation
• English written and spoken
• Involvement in open source projects is a plus
• Analytical mindset
• Reliable
• Able to work individually and as part of the team
• Good communication skills
• Availability to occasionally travel internationally
