About the Role

Sawdey Solution Services is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Specialist to lead and execute highly technical LAN and telecommunications activities in support of mission‑critical government operations. This role provides onsite technical leadership, performs complex analyses, prepares documentation and briefings, and ensures successful installation, configuration, operation, and sustainment of IT systems, cabling infrastructure, and end‑user connectivity.

The Telecommunications Specialist will coordinate extensively with the Infrastructure Engineering team, Vendor Program Manager, COTRs, and government stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Additional Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee technical work across assigned projects and tasks.
• Perform detailed analyses and prepare documentation, reports, and briefings.
• Lead onsite management of telecommunications and LAN hardware installations.
• Install, configure, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair IT systems, including devices, circuits, cables, components, and software.
• Support the development, execution, and management of project plans.
• Review task performance and work products for accuracy, compliance with requirements, and adherence to schedule.
• Coordinate with Infrastructure Engineering to review technical drawings, validate cable designs, and ensure accurate cable and power infrastructure planning for LAN hardware deployment.
• Collaborate with Vendor PM, COTRs, and government user representatives to ensure quality technical solutions and high user satisfaction.

Experience Requirements

• 8 years of telecommunications experience.
• 7 years of local area network (LAN) experience.

Certificate, License, and Registration Requirements

• DoD 8570 Baseline Certification: IAT Level II or IAM Level II
• Computing Environment Certification: CCNP or CCNP‑Enterprise

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proven ability to operate independently and manage multiple technical tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to engage effectively with government customers and program leadership.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to:
  Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
