Engineer, Enterprise Collaboration role at ICE
Job PurposeThe Engineer, Enterprise Collaboration will provide expertise, second- and third-line support duties for the team responsible for end-to-end delivery of all e‑mail services and related technologies of ICE, Inc. and its subsidiary companies. This position requires proficiency with Secure E‑mail Gateways, e‑mail security controls, and experience with enterprise tools. The candidate should have strong knowledge of Exchange Online/M365 and Exchange 2016/2019 and will work closely with the Messaging team to deliver excellent mail services for ICE.
OverviewCandidates must be self‑starters who learn quickly and are not afraid to ask questions. Performing in a high‑pressure environment while resolving issues promptly is essential.
Responsibilities- Communicate clearly and collaborate with team members to execute tasks successfully. Provide out‑of‑hours support on an on‑call roster/rotation basis.
- Manage the full life cycle of engineering projects; perform complex development work and provide recommendations to management on potential solutions to issues.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge and understanding of development areas and how team contributions factor into the overall health of the technology function.
- Manage and resolve a variety of problems within the respective technology setting and provide solutions based on best practices and existing precedents.
- Contribute to the team by managing projects and assisting other technical & product managers in evaluating product requirements for software applications; develop and review detailed specifications.
- Frequently interact with team and management to resolve issues or inquiries related to development; improve processes and procedures where possible.
- Document pertinent details and graphical representations of systems and flows for historical reference and consumption by team members, other technical teams, and management.
- Document procedures for team member consumption.
- Maintain system inventories.
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Good experience with IaaS SEG solutions such as Proofpoint Email Security and Cisco Iron Port.
- Good experience with Microsoft Email platforms;
Exchange Online/M365, Exchange 2016/2019/SE. - Experience with end‑to‑end email delivery in the enterprise.
- Good understanding of e‑mail security controls and how to apply them within the enterprise (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, Anti‑Spam, Anti‑Malware, etc.).
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and Load Balancers.
- Familiarity with ADFS, Entra SAML.
- Experience with management and automation scripting in Power Shell; comfortable performing tasks from the command line and writing basic scripts.
- Experience with management and optimization of Windows Server 2016/2019 in the enterprise.
- Good troubleshooting skills and ability to pinpoint root cause.
- Familiarity with industry‑standard server engineering tools and practices.
- Familiarity with Service Now and Change/Incident Management practices.
- Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
- Experience with Azure services and IaaS is a plus.
- Experience with
* nix operating systems is a plus. - Knowledge of Google Workspace is a plus.
