Network Engineer - Remote

We are currently seeking a self‑motivated and dedicated candidate to join our expanding Engineering team. This role will require a broad array of technical knowledge and advanced troubleshooting skills to support a wide range of equipment.

The primary responsibilities include supporting our NOC team and customers on escalated connectivity issues, provisioning routers and leading the implementation of network monitoring and other strategic technologies.

The qualified individual will possess superior complex problem‑solving and customer‑facing skills with the ability to multi‑task and remain calm in stressful situations. The capacity to work independently as well as part of a team is critical.

• Configure routers
• Setup IP routing
• Provision circuit monitoring services – ICMP, SNMP
• Serve as a technical escalation point for NOC team when standard troubleshooting does not resolve an issue
• Collaborate with peers, customers, and carriers to resolve issues
• Part of on‑call rotation schedule
• Accurately track and document all technical issues in portal
• Create documentation for tracking customer circuit design and level of monitoring services
• Stay current with technology changes, updates, and practices
• Design and perform integration of new technologies

• Degree in IT relevant field and/or equivalent certifications
• 6+ years’ experience troubleshooting escalated connectivity issues
• Network monitoring tools
• Layer 2 and 3 network concepts
• Familiarity with American Registry of Internet Numbers (ARIN)
• WAN/LAN networking concepts
• Basic firewall concepts/configurations
• SD Technology
• Routing protocols
• BGP Technology
• Advanced Excel
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills necessary to effectively collaborate with peers and to present and explain highly technical information to stakeholders with limited technical knowledge
