We're looking for a talented Network Administrator to join our team in Columbia, SC
. This position will support a complex government client and will require overseeing NOC operations and engineering efforts, including the design, installation, configuration, testing, and implementation of Cisco and Aruba solutions. It will require ensuring reliable LAN connectivity, managing lifecycle support for physical and virtual assets, and providing Tier 3 technical support within established change control processes. The position will also require capturing technical requirements, documenting system designs and implementation plans, participating in project and operational meetings, and serving as a backup to the WLAN/LAN engineering team.

ClearanceMust be US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top‑Secret security clearance.
PrimaryRoles and Responsibilities
- In-depth understanding of core data center technologies.
- Knowledge of infrastructure design within a data center environment.
- Experience with operations and lifecycle management of physical and virtual data center assets.
- Broad knowledge of multiple IT technologies, hardware, and software platforms.
- Ensure reliable network connectivity across the data center LAN infrastructure.
- Collaborate with team members to deploy Cisco network equipment and LAN solutions.
- Develop manuals, documentation, and support materials.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting to various IT teams.
- Perform network administration tasks.
- Strong understanding of Cisco technologies.
- Provide Tier 3 support through established change control processes and procedures.
- Participate in both project‑based and steady‑state operational meetings.
- Install and configure networking resources, including LAN switches.
- Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of network infrastructure.
- Monitor overall network performance to proactively identify and address issues.
- Support initial deployment of data center requirements, new hardware installations, and equipment decommissioning.
- Experience working with Local Area Networks (LAN) and data center network environments.
- Ability to diagram network designs and layouts using tools such as Visio.
- Experience troubleshooting network performance issues with tools such as Solar Winds, DCNM, DNA Center, and Cisco Prime.
- Proficiency with Cisco IOS‑XE and NX‑OS, including VLAN configuration and IP subnetting.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, and Windows OS.
- Experience configuring and managing Windows IP addressing and DNS.
- Experience with virtualization technologies.
- Experience working with various types of fiber cabling.
- Experience with Cisco ACI.
- Associate degree in computer science or networking; or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA); or 4 years supporting network infrastructure in a complex, multi‑site environment.
