Software Engineering Internship – Spring 2026 (AFS Technical Leadership, USF Institute of Applied Engineering).
OverviewUSF IAE delivers agile engineering solutions to federal, state, and industry clients. The Software Engineering Intern will support specialized programs in data science and program management, contributing to research, analysis, and tool development for DoD decision‑making.
Time CommitmentHours:
8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday‑Friday. 15–20 hrs/week during Fall/Spring semesters; 20–29 hrs/week during Summer. In‑person with limited remote work.

$17.50 per hour
Requirements- Eligible for a security clearance
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field
- Junior or Senior level; current GPA ≥ 3.0
- Strong background in software development
- Experience with Java, Python, and JavaScript preferred
- Strong troubleshooting, planning, and organizational skills
- Well‑developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
