Job Overview

Decisive Instincts is hiring a Cloud Developer (Senior). Remote position but candidates must be within 50 miles of Clarksburg, WV. Secret clearance is required.

• Configure, maintain, and optimize Atlassian infrastructure (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) hosted in AWS Gov Cloud or Azure Government environments.
• Implement auto‑scaling, load balancing, and secure access controls for enterprise collaboration platforms.
• Automate deployments and infrastructure management for Atlassian services using IaC tools (Ansible, Packer, Cloud Formation).
• Integrate monitoring solutions (Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana) specifically for Atlassian environments.
• Apply cloud security best practices, including integration with AWS Security Hub for compliance and threat detection.
• Support containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS) for scalable application delivery.
• Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies, including PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand‑ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Product Managers to refine and prioritize the backlog.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for cloud applications.

• Secret clearance required.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience recommended; certifications or past work may substitute for experience.
• Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, AWS Certified Sys Ops Administrator – Associate, Hashi Corp Certified:
  Terraform Associate, Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), SAFe® Practitioner (SPC or SA).
• Expertise in AWS or Azure cloud management, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPCs, Lambda, Load Balancing/Auto‑Scaling, and IAM.
• Proficiency in IaC using tools such as Ansible, Packer, and AWS Cloud Formation.
• Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools like Bamboo.
• Strong skills in monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., AWS Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Solid understanding of cloud security best practices, network security, data encryption, multi‑factor authentication, and integration with cloud security services like AWS Security Hub.
