Functie omschrijving Dev Ops Engineer (vervuld)This role is a member of a service organization dedicated to helping internal and external customers. The successful candidate will assist software engineering and infrastructure teams with automated deployments, continuous monitoring, and other important aspects of Continuous Delivery.
- Respond to internal/client issues on a priority basis.
- Change Management – ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and best practices for change management.
- Release Engineering – manage CI/CD processes and tooling and work with product development teams to ensure these processes are followed.
- Configuration Management – work with product development teams to ensure that application configuration is versioned and deployed in the same manner as the software which is being configured.
- On Call – participate in on‑call schedules using a “follow the sun” model.
- Virtual Infrastructure Management – ensure via IaC and other paradigms that virtual infrastructure configuration is versioned, tested, and deployed in the same manner as any other release, schema, or configuration change.
- Monitoring – work with product development teams to ensure production products and services are adequately monitored to ensure visibility of product performance, outages, and response times.
- Alerting – work with product development teams to ensure production products and services properly alert operations and Cloud Ops personnel when actionable issues occur.
- Security – maintain virtual infrastructure security in compliance with best practices and policies and procedures.
- Documentation – build and maintain high‑quality documentation of standard operating procedures.
- Provide reports – to management on the status of all environments and processes; maintain and report on KPIs of the environments, build processes, and deployment pipelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant studies.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in relevant aspects of this vacancy.
- Be able to work independently.
- Experience testing web services (REST, SOAP, etc.).
- Experience with test management tools like Azure Dev Ops, Zephyr, etc.
- Managing and administrating Windows and Linux based systems.
- Working in a Continuous Delivery shop.
- Kubernetes and Docker.
- Data Dog, Solar Winds, Pager Duty, and other monitoring/alerting tools.
- A well‑known CI server, such as AWX/Ansible, Jenkins, Octopus, Azure Dev Ops, etc.
- A Git Ops based Kubernetes Continuous Deployment platform.
- Designing, managing, and working with good Release Management practices.
- Designing, building, and working with Kubernetes Operators.
- Professional experience working with Python, Power Shell, and other scripting languages.
- Knowledge of both RDMS and No
SQL database systems. - Database schema management tools such as Liquibase.
- Development Infrastructure:
Terraform;
Helm/Kubernetes;
Jenkins;
Octopus Deploy; AWX/Ansible. - Cloud / Virtualization Technologies: AWS;
Azure; VMWare. - Development / Scripting: SQL / Python / Power Shell / CLI / JSON / YAML.

You will functionally report to a US‑based manager.
- This position is offered as a one‑year contract, with the possibility of renewal or transition to a permanent role based on performance and organizational needs.
- A salary of max. €6,000‑gross a month.
- A holiday pay of 8% annually.
- This position offers the flexibility to work remotely.
- 25 holidays per year.
- Reimbursement for travel expenses.
