What You'll Do- Accurately translate analytic specifications from a statistical analysis plan into R code to create analytic datasets, generate descriptive and inferential statistics, and visualizations, etc., in consultation with the more senior programmers and/or study principal investigator.
- Build subject matter expertise and discuss capabilities of a variety of different Flatiron data modalities, including EHR-derived real‑world data, clinico‑genomics data, and claims data.
- Work collaboratively with cross‑functional stakeholders across our medical and scientific organization to execute and deliver on client‑sponsored research studies in an accurate, effective, and timely manner.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Flatiron’s proprietary analytical tooling and templates.
- Continue to develop a deeper understanding of real‑world data and related methodologies used to generate real‑world evidence.
- You hold a Doctorate degree (e.g., PhD, ScD, DrPH) in Biostatistics/Statistics with no industry experience, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Biological Sciences, Public Health, Math, or a closely related field, or a Master’s degree and 2‑3 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree in one of these fields with 4‑5 years of relevant experience.
- You are an excellent programmer in R (including tidyverse) and are comfortable working in Git‑based environments (e.g., Github, Gitlab).
- You have experience with large healthcare‑related datasets (e.g., administrative claims, electronic medical records).
- You have strong organizational, time‑management, prioritization and decision‑making skills necessary to evaluate, plan and implement multiple high‑visibility projects in a timely fashion.
- You have the ability to work effectively in a constantly changing, diverse, and matrix environment.
- You are able to quickly learn and apply new information, skills and procedures.
- You are passionate about our mission to improve healthcare through technology.
- You have experience working with oncology datasets.
- You have experience working in a pharmaceutical/HEOR consulting environment.
