About the roleQuantum Health integrates with a wide variety of partners through data exchanges and API interactions. The Vendor Integration Engineer will assist with these integrations. Integrations need technical guidance and coordination with both business partners internally as well as external counterparts in the partner organizations to operate smoothly. To be successful in this role, the person must be very well versed in the technical aspects of all our integrations and touchpoints as well as be a strong communicator.
It is essential for the person in this role to have a demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and be a liaison between the various parties. This role will serve as a partner to the Client Engagement executives/onboarding project managers and help project‑manage any technical changes that need to be instituted.
- Lead technical discovery and integration planning sessions with vendor technical teams to evaluate APIs, define data exchange formats (e.g., JSON, XML, CSV), and determine appropriate transport methods (e.g., REST, SOAP, SFTP).
- Design, document, and maintain technical integration specifications for external vendor systems, including data mappings, interface definitions, transformation logic, and delivery protocols. Ensure integration solutions meet scalability, performance, and security standards.
- Serve as consultant, and L3 support for the deployment, and maintenance of robust ETL pipelines using tools like SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), supporting automated data ingestion, transformation, validation, and delivery between systems.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures to support large-scale data integration, monitoring, and reconciliation tasks. Ensure high availability and performance of backend data processes.
- Act as the technical point of contact for all vendor integration issues, owning problem resolution, root cause analysis, and long‑term stability planning. Coordinate with infrastructure and development teams as needed.
- Implement and maintain integration monitoring and alerting to proactively detect issues in data transfers, latency, and schema mismatches. Work with stakeholders to triage and resolve production incidents.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with external vendors in a direct client‑facing role, ensuring clear communication channels for ongoing integration needs, enhancements, troubleshooting, and compliance requirements.
- Serve as a trusted liaison between Quantum Health and vendor technical teams, translating business requirements into actionable technical plans and ensuring vendor deliverables meet contractual and operational expectations.
- Participate in vendor performance reviews to provide technical insight on integration health, incident history, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with Legal, Security, and Compliance teams to ensure vendor integrations adhere to data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA), secure authentication practices, and internal governance policies.
