Peraton provides the customer with enterprise infrastructure support to plan, engineer, implement, enhance, maintain and operate the global consular affairs IT environment.
AboutThe Role
Peraton is seeking a Scrum Master to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals on our Department of State (DOS) Bureau of Diplomatic Technology (DT) Consular Affairs Enterprise Infrastructure Operations (CAEIO) Program. CAEIO provides IT Operations and Maintenance to modernize the legacy networks, applications, and databases supporting consular applications and services globally. The Scrum Master will support the growth and transformation of Agile methodologies across a large portfolio of projects.
This role leverages Agile expertise to apply best practices across multiple teams and the program while managing workflow, creatively solving problems, tracking work items, and identifying continuous process improvement opportunities to mature the program.
- Manage, support, and coach teams in Agile frameworks, methodologies, principles, and practices to deliver high quality products and services to a global Federal customer.
- Schedule, prepare for, and facilitate Agile ceremonies as needed.
- Participate in meetings to ensure cross-team collaboration and delivery/deployment of products and services.
- Coordinate and guide the entire program to higher levels of Agile maturity.
- Assess customer requirements, objectives, and priorities to better inform and guide Agile practices.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, internal operations, and engineering teams to help drive decision-making that support organizational goals.
- Assist teams with managing backlog, documenting acceptance criteria, assessing scope, and ranking and prioritizing work items.
- Identify and track dependencies both to and from the program and collaborate with the other trains on action items.
- Assist teams and product owners with updating task tracking tools (Jira, Confluence, SharePoint). Review and audit task tracking tools to ensure adherence to Agile practices and processes.
- Collaborate with Program Management Office (PMO) Team to ensure guidance, processes, and training materials are current/updated.
- Develop comprehensive, executive-level dashboards that provide essential Agile information to program leadership.
- Identify impediments to, and improvements for, long‑term Agile success by promoting transparency and communication and fostering a safe environment for escalating issues or blockers.
8:00 AM ET – 4:00 PM ET (flexible), Monday – Friday.
Work LocationMust be local to the Washington, DC area. This position is currently hybrid with remote work and up to 3 days per week in the Peraton office in Sterling, VA, and/or customer site in Washington, DC. The number of days in office is subject to change based on program or government requirements.
Required Qualifications- U.S. citizenship and an active SECRET Government Security Clearance.
