About the role:

As the Senior Cloud Architect, you will design cloud platform engineering solutions with a focus on consulting, project delivery oversight, and pre-sales activities. You will serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, guiding clients, partners, and other business units to ensure engagements meet objectives. You will support pre-sales activities, including reviewing requirements, creating level-of-effort estimates, proposals, and delivering proofs of concepts.

What Youine Will Do
:

• Design, develop, and oversee the implementation of consulting and hands-on services offerings for platform engineering.
• Serve as a cloud-native technical resource to determine client needs and recommend solutions across cloud and platform engineering ecosystems.
• Align solutions with standards and best practices, working with cross-functional engineering and consulting teams.
• Collaborate with Sales and Account Management to ensure smooth delivery and identify additional services and sales opportunities within the customer environment.
• Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in client organizations.
• Contribute to internal best practices and innovative consulting offerings to take to market.
• Develop and deliver proofs of concepts to clients.
• Support Sales by creating level-of-effort estimates and proposals.
• Provide thought leadership in cloud-native technologies, Dev Ops, and platform engineering.
• Share insights into the partner ecosystem and emerging technologies related to Platform Engineering, Automation, and Observability.
• Maintain enterprise use cases and stories to support GTM and offerings.
• Participate in Anchor Accounts and thought leadership to drive ongoing engagement with strategic clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience.
• Strong consulting background with hands-on experience in cloud-native technologies, Dev Ops, and platform engineering.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes (K8s) technologies such as EKS, AKS, GKE, and Open Shift.
• Dev Ops and Dev Sec Ops  ecosystem experience including CI/CD solutions;
  Jenkins, Git Hub, Git Lab, Harness preferred.
• Experience with observability solutions and Open Telemetry (OTel).
• Experience with Backstage or other internal developer portals a plus.
• Knowledge of K8s operators and solutions like Cilium and Crossplane.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect and/or Dev Ops Engineer.
• 5+ years of experience with implementation and support of cloud compute, networking, and storage services.
• Experience with cloud operations using native and third-party monitoring and management tools.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Ruby, or Go.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, with excellent time management and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, consultative approach to customer and sales requests; effective listening and delivery of solutions.
• Ability to facilitate discussions, collaborate with team members, and engage client resources for discovery, requirements analysis, data collection, and synthesis.
• Create architecture, test/QA, and as-built documentation as needed.
• Ability to manage multiple changing priorities and meet deadlines in an entrepreneurial environment.

Salary and benefits:

Actual salary will be based on location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. Salary ranges may differ by geographic location. Some positions may be eligible for variable incentive compensation (bonuses/commissions) not included in base salary.
