IT Project Manager, Systems Analyst

Are you a detail-minded, service-oriented Project Manager with strong organizational skills, ready to play a critical role in bridging the gaps between business needs and technical solutions? As our ideal candidate, you will be a seasoned Data Governance Lead who has managed strategic initiatives that ensure data integrity, compliance and operational excellence across one or more organizations. This role requires a strong background in project management, stakeholder engagement, and governance frameworks, with proven experience in complex, cross-functional environments.

Project Planning & Execution
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage changes to scope, schedule, and costs, ensuring proper documentation and communication.
- Facilitate regular project status meetings with clients, team members and senior leadership.
- Provide clear, concise updates and maintain transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Coordinate and manage cross-functional project teams.
Governance & Compliance
- Establish governance charter, operating model, engagement structure, success metrics and governance playbook.
- Coordinate data ownership and stewardship.
- Craft, implement and champion data governance principles and adoption.
- Support the development of data glossary, attribute inventory, and data quality KPI set.
- Maintain accurate and accessible project documentation.
- Track project progress and performance against defined objectives.
- Identify risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Governance Lead
- Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in project management tools and software such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or similar
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project management, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry
- PMP certification or similar is highly desirable
- Experience creating a PMO framework is ideal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven experience in requirements gathering and documentation, system integration mapping, system consulting, or similar roles, with a focus on technical solutions and system integration implementation
- Ability to travel up to 50%
