Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to support a major enterprise client driving large-scale security transformations using Palo Alto Prisma Access
, Strata Cloud Manager
, Panorama
, and Next-Gen Firewalls
. This is a high-visibility, senior-impact role supporting major deployments, migrations, and cloud-driven security modernization across complex, multi-environment infrastructures. You’ll serve as a trusted technical advisor—guiding architecture decisions, executing hands-on implementations, and shaping secure enterprise network strategy. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in large enterprise environments and enjoys leading large migrations, scaling cloud security platforms, and influencing C-level decision-making.

This is a fully remote position that requires a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder to work on EST or CST hours

• Lead full Prisma Access and Strata Cloud Manager deployments and migrations for large enterprise clients
• Architect, configure, and optimize Palo Alto NGFW, Panorama, VM-Series
  , and related platforms
• Oversee BGP, routing/switching, SD-WAN
  , and advanced networking components in multi-site environments
• Integrate and administer Global Protect within complex cloud and on-prem ecosystems
• Advise leadership on architecture decisions, modernization strategies, and secure design best practices
• Collaborate with customer security and network teams to ensure seamless implementation and business alignment
• Execute cutovers, perform validation testing, and support policy/object migrations
• Automate workflows and configuration tasks using Python (highly preferred)
• Operate across Linux, macOS, and Windows environments; primarily Linux
• Provide escalation support, troubleshoot security issues, and interface with TAC as needed

• 10+ years in network/security engineering supporting large enterprise environments
• Must be able to work remotely on EST or CST hours
• Deep hands-on experience with:
  • Palo Alto Prisma Access (full deployments/migrations)
  • Strata Cloud Manager
  • Panorama & NGFW (7K Series ideal)
  • Global Protect
• Strong BGP, routing/switching, and SD-WAN experience
• Experience advising leadership and driving architecture decisions (consulting or internal enterprise engineering)
• Python scripting/automation experience a strong advantage
• Multi-OS experience:
  Linux, macOS, Windows
• Knowledge of DNS, Zero Trust concepts, and VM-Series Firewalls
• Bachelor’s in CS, MIS, or related field
• Relevant certifications preferred (CISSP, CCNA, PCCSE, PCNSE, JNCIE-SEC, etc.)
• Must be US Citizen or Green Card holder (W2 only)
• Experience with Python for automating and scripting is highly preferred
• Experience with SD-WAN is highly preferred

• Salary range of $140,000 - $155,000 + comprehensive benefits
• Fully remote (EST/CST preferred; Mountain considered)
• Flexible schedule, minimal overtime
