Position SummaryIron Mountain is seeking a strategic and experienced leader to serve as the Global Director of Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) Solutions Architecture. In this pivotal leadership role, you will build, manage, and mentor a geographically dispersed team of Solutions Architects responsible for designing complex Data Center and End-User/Workplace IT solutions.
As the Global Director, you will harmonize solution design across regions, ensuring consistency in how we scope, cost, and execute Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) services worldwide. You will bridge the gap between global sales strategy, technical solution design, and operational delivery.
You will act as the executive technical sponsor on major multinational deals, driving innovation in both the Data Center (decommissioning, migration, sanitization) and Workplace (DaaS, refresh, configuration) sectors.
Key Responsibilities Global Team Leadership & Strategy:Manage a Global Team:
Lead and mentor a diverse team of Solutions Architects located across multiple regions and time zones. Foster a collaborative culture that shares best practices across borders.Resource Management: optimize resource allocation for global pursuits, ensuring the right technical expertise (Data Center vs. End User) is applied to the right opportunities.
Standardization:
Establish global standards for solution design, cost modeling, and proposal generation to ensure that a proposal delivered in London matches the quality and methodology of one delivered in New York or Singapore.
Data Center Expertise:
Oversee the design of complex solutions for the data center environment, including hyperscale and enterprise decommissioning, on-site data sanitization, physical asset migration/relocation, and hardware recycling.Workplace IT Expertise:
Drive innovation in end-user computing, including Device as a Service (DaaS), remote employee provisioning, break/fix logistics, and secure ITAD.Governance:
Serve as the final point of escalation and approval for complex, multi-country solution designs, ensuring they meet profitability targets and operational feasibility.
Global Accounts:
Partner with Global Strategic Account Managers to lead the technical strategy for multi-national RFP responses and enterprise contracts.C-Level Advisory:
Act as a trusted advisor to client CIOs and CTOs, articulating how Iron Mountain’s end-to-end lifecycle vision supports their sustainability (ESG) goals, data security compliance, and TCO reduction—whether in the server room or the home office.
Collaboration:
Product Evolution:
Act as the "Voice of the Global Market" to Product Management, identifying regional nuances and requirements for Data Center and Workplace services to influence the development roadmap.Global Compliance:
Ensure all solution designs adhere to regional and international data privacy and environmental regulations (e.g., GDPR, WEEE, NIST 800-88, R2v3, e-Stewards).Operations Alignment:
Work closely with Global Operations leadership to ensure proposed solutions can be executed consistently across different geographies and vendor partner networks.
