Location: Town of Poland
Schedule: 20–30 hours/week (remote)
Compensation: $20–$25/hour (DOE)
About the RoleWe’re a fast-moving, veteran-owned start-up building out daily training across multiple verticals. We’re looking for a part-time Training Specialist to design, deliver, and continuously improve short, high-impact training for a dispersed team working in mortgage lending
and
life insurance
. This role is fully remote with room to grow into full-time as we scale.
- Design & Facilitate Daily Training: Build concise, outcomes-focused sessions (15–60 minutes) that run daily across time zones and verticals (mortgage, life insurance, sales, compliance, customer success).
- Curriculum Development: Create modular curricula, playbooks, micro-learning, and job aids aligned to KPIs and regulatory requirements.
- Onboarding & Upskilling: Own new-hire ramp and ongoing skill progression plans; track proficiency and certify readiness.
- LMS & Content Ops: Organize content in our LMS; maintain calendars, recordings, quizzes, and dashboards.
- Performance Feedback: Use data (conversion, QA, QA/QC, call metrics) to identify training needs and iterate quickly.
- Cross-Functional Partner: Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Compliance, and Leadership to align training with goals.
- Coaching: Provide group and 1:1 coaching; shadow live/recorded calls and deliver targeted feedback.
- Military & Military Organizations Experience (required): Prior service or direct work with military organizations, programs, or communities; strong cultural fluency and communication across ranks/roles.
- Mortgage Lending
Experience:
Familiar with mortgage products, loan pipeline, disclosures, compliance basics, and frontline workflows. - Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
. - Training Delivery: Demonstrated success designing and facilitating instructor-led training (virtual), with strong platform skills.
- Instructional
Skills:
Able to turn SOPs and product/process changes into clear, practical training. - Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with LMS tools, video conferencing, slide tools, and spreadsheets.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills; clear, organized, and audience-aware.
- Life Insurance: Active life/health license or prior life insurance sales/operations experience.
- Sales Background/Certs: Sales experience or certifications (e.g., Sandler, Challenger, SPIN, MEDDICC, LUTCF) are a plus.
- Education/Instruction: Former ROTC instructor

ILE instructor
,
school teacher
, or
college professor experience is a strong plus. - Assessment & Analytics: Experience building rubrics, scorecards, and ROI/impact reporting.
- LMS/Tools: Experience with platforms like Go High Level , Canvas, Blackboard, or similar.
- Daily training calendar live and running with strong attendance and feedback.
- Onboarding tracks for mortgage and life insurance roles launched with measurable ramp KPIs.
- Core library of micro-modules, quizzes, and job aids published in the LMS.
- Coaching cadence and reporting framework in place (weekly skill dashboards, QA trends, and action plans).
- Hours: 20–30 hours/week, flexible within U.S. time zones to support daily sessions.
- Location: Remote within the U.S.
- Compensation: $20–$25/hour (based on experience).
