Epic BI Developer

Inova Health System Performance Analytics is looking for a dedicated Epic BI Developer to join the Team. This remote role will be full-time day shift working Monday – Friday.

The Epic BI Developer assesses client requirements, detail their current data needs, design and develop data mapping, data refresh & governance processes to create proper BI contents. Follows proper design and data architecture standards and best practices on their BI development cycle, works to ensure our BI solutions are well documented, supports end users (centralized and federated) in the organization by publishing proper BI contents and data sources in a consistent way.

Works closely with Data Administrators and Data Architects to follow end-to-end management of BI content assets and is responsible for preparation and delivery of training for end-users, new and existing team members for content created. Works with vendor and other support organizations on BI related incident tickets, software upgrade testing, process automation and continuous process improvements in varied platforms. Maintains applications and facilitates updates, new releases and system enhancements.

Communicates project and team status to internal and external audiences including the operations teams, steering committees. Facilitates problem resolution, escalations, and system-wide troubleshooting and support with demonstrable level of proficiency.

Epic BI Developer
Responsibilities:

• Provide analytic support to internal leaders and external community organizations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate technical requirements into scalable BI solutions.
• Capture and consolidate source data with proper data lineage and change control.
• Perform data modeling and ensure deliverables follow standard definitions and policies.
• Determine logical design characteristics and information management strategies.
• Create, vet, and publish data sources for common use in BI tools (e.g., Epic, Power
  
  BI).
• Develop and maintain community programs using Epic, Power
  
  BI, Excel, and other tools.
• Generate impactful, interactive visualizations with consistent data elements.
• Ensure data integrity and proper definitions through continuous review of dashboards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree; or Associate’s degree and 2 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required; or HS Diploma/GED and 4 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required
• Experience: 1 year of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience supporting Epic preferred.
• 3 years of experience with advanced report writing using SQL, Power
  
  BI, Business Objects, Clarity, Caboodle, or similar relational database concepts with query techniques preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency with analytical software, data tools, and data visualization preferred.
• Previous experience supporting CIN or Value-Based Care preferred.
