** Test Equipment Sustainment Information Technology Specialist
** to join them. You will report to our Site Test Equipment Sustainment Manager. You will have a 9/80 option (you get with every other Friday off) and work on-site at our aerospace manufacturing plant in Torrance, California.

** As the Sustainment Information Technology Specialist, you will:
*** Demonstrate a sense of urgency while you diagnose and resolve routine and complex IT issues, provide technical assistance and support to end-users through written and verbal communication.
* Provide timely updates of status on ongoing challenges and provide concise reports of completed work to create and maintain a historical record for each installation.
* Troubleshoot end-user PC, test equipment connectivity and application issues.
* Support deployment of PC equipment and accessories, including Installation and support of endpoint software.
* Attend in-person meetings, appointments with end users to analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose hardware problems.
* Document findings and communicate issues to Engineers in our team and others.
* Work with remote based software subject matter experts to deploy and maintain custom software updates.
* Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of IT issues, with the ability to find the root cause of the issue.
* Create and maintain local user accounts in different types of Windows operating systems.
* Create documentation with instructions or procedures for end users.
* Communicate with end users of a wide range of computer knowledge.
* Think outside the box for troubleshooting of issues, sometimes never seen before.
* Install, troubleshoot and understand a wide range of expansion cards including legacy standards such as PCI & ISA.
* Identify cables and communication ports, such as RS-232 or Fire Wire 1394 for troubleshooting.
* Work in a team environment but take ownership of issues where no point of escalation is available.
* May be required to support after-hours or weekends in the event of any emergency, critical troubleshooting, system maintenance or other issues as requested.
* Some travel may be needed to support remotely based test equipment.
** To be considered for the Test Equipment Sustainment Information Technology Specialist role, here's what you'll typically need to bring with you:
*** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field is preferred. In lieu of a college degree, High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of related experience.
* At least 5 years or more of proven experience in an IT role supporting end users of PC based technical applications.
* Some familiarity with NI Lab View and/or dSpace Control Desk products and installations.
* Possess Industry certifications CompTIA A+, CompTIA Net+

* Preferred Qualifications:

*** Current and Active DoD Secret Clearance (or higher) strongly preferred.
* Understand the interaction of additional equipment connected to the computer for proper identification & isolation of the issue needed.
* Understanding of air gapped or isolated computer concepts for troubleshooting and support.
