The Director of Technology & Infrastructure provides strategic and hands‑on operational leadership for the company’s technology environment, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems administration, end-user support and IT audit compliance. This position is responsible for maintaining a secure, efficient, and scalable technology ecosystem that supports both in‑office and remote operations.

The Director oversees IT audit, security and governance programs to ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The role is accountable for the development and execution of the company’s technology roadmap, management of vendor relationships, and establishment of processes that promote operational stability, data security, and continuous improvement across the IT function.

Essential Functions
  • Lead the IT department in developing and executing the company’s technology strategy and operational objectives.
  • Oversee IT audit, governance, and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and security standards.
  • Establish and maintain IT policies, procedures, and governance frameworks for system access, data protection, and change management.
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) and Service Organizational Controls (SOC‑1) audit standards.
  • Direct IT infrastructure operations, including help desk, network, telecommunications, and data center environments.
  • Manage cybersecurity initiatives, including risk assessments, incident response, and end‑user training programs.
  • Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place, tested annually, and continuously improved.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and performance for technology and managed service providers.
  • Develop, purchase and manage the IT operating and capital budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Hire, develop, and mentor IT team members; foster professional growth and align skills with evolving business needs.
  • Collaborate with executive management to identify technology opportunities that drive efficiency and innovation.
  • Partner with internal and external auditors to support IT audit readiness, documentation, and remediation.
  • Work closely with parent or partner technology teams to coordinate on shared infrastructure, security, and compliance projects.
  • Manage remote offices and work‑from‑home environments, some travel required within the state of Florida.
  • Monitor emerging technology trends and recommend solutions that align with organizational goals and scalability.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including infrastructure, operations, and cybersecurity.
  • 3+ years of management or director‑level experience leading technical teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory, Windows Server environments, Azure Local, and IP network administration.
  • Hands‑on experience with Office 365 administration, remote access management, and Microsoft Azure cloud‑based infrastructure.
  • Hands‑on experience with Ring Central or similar cloud‑based phone technology.
  • Proven experience implementing IT governance frameworks, policy development, and audit processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment with a small, agile team.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling technology functions in a growing organization.
  • Customer‑focused mindset with a collaborative approach to problem‑solving.
Education & Training
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required.
  • Advanced degree (MBA or MS in IT Management) preferred.
