Application Developer - Epic Cadence​/Referrals

Position Summary

This position will provide workflow analysis, optimization, application build, testing and implementation of software related to the Epic Cadence (Scheduling) and Epic Referrals applications. Remote work within Iowa, with annual review of arrangement.

• Research system solutions and collaborate with subject matter experts to analyze workflows and develop application design.
• Create functional/technical specifications for system build and complex integrated systems.
• Configure and customize applications, review build for efficiency and correctness.
• Develop and maintain testing scripts and perform unit and integrated testing of assigned workflows.
• Support and maintenance: troubleshoot, implement fixes, document design, and travel to customer sites as needed.
• Project management: create work plans, monitor and report progress.
• Business analysis: translate system and end‑user request into business solutions.
• Leadership: offer mentoring for staff.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–5 years experience developing and/or supporting applications used by non‑technical customers, preferably healthcare.
• Experience contributing to integrated information system implementation cycles: design, workflow analysis, build, training, implementation, testing, support.
• Experience working with application owners and vendors to define system requirements and integration.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with technical and non‑technical staff.
• Desired:
  Experience supporting an EHR in ambulatory or hospital settings;
  Epic certification related to Epic Cadence and Epic Referrals; strong problem‑solving and test‑script writing skills.

Salary: $57,749 – commensurate. Pay Level: 4B.
