Manager, Software Engineering - Observability; Remote, EST

• Manage a growing team of engineers focused on building quality platforms
• Participate in architecting large-scale distributed tracing and metrics platforms
• Engage in regular retrospectives, capacity, and planning meetings with the team
• Conduct "lunch and learn" demos for new proofs of concept or design sessions
• Review, provide feedback, and approve new design proposals from the team

• 8+ years of industry experience
• Experience in Observability and Tracing (e.g., Otel, Tempo, Sentry)
• Experience in Observability and Metrics (e.g., Prometheus, Thanos)
• Proficiency in software development, preferably with Kubernetes operators using Python, Bash, or Go
• Experience operating within cloud environments, preferably AWS and GCP

• Proven ability to work effectively with both local and remote teams
• Contributions and involvement in open-source projects
• Experience with being on-call
• Knowledge of SRE, Dev Ops, and Git Ops practices
• Rock-solid verbal and written communication skills
