Oracle PL​/SQL Developer -Remote

Base pay range

$50.00/hr - $50.00/hr

Pay Rate: $50/hr w2

We are seeking an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our team on a Contract-to-Hire basis. The ideal candidate will design, develop, maintain, test, and debug software applications within a Windows client/server environment. This position works with PL/SQL, Oracle, .NET, Microsoft SQL, Progress 4GL ADE, and more. You will analyze system requirements, prepare detailed specifications, and support enhancements for moderately complex information systems.

• Develop, modify, and maintain software applications based on business and data processing requirements.
• Analyze user needs and contribute to technical design specifications.
• Build solutions that meet regulatory and insurance carrier requirements.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and assist with cross-team testing efforts.
• Create and maintain documentation for new and existing software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated support issues.
• Collaborate with and guide junior developers as needed.
• Follow established development standards and best practices.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure client satisfaction.
• Stay current with advancements in development languages and technologies.

• Bachelor’s degree required (Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred).

• 8+ years of hands-on Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
• Strong expertise with:
• PL/SQL Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers
• SQL, SQL
  * Plus, Cursors, Views, Materialized Views
• Temporary Tables, Object-Oriented PL/SQL
• Jobs, Schedulers, Dynamic SQL, XML generation
• Java Stored Procedures, Oracle AQ
• Experience writing packages for high-volume data loads.
• Strong knowledge of external tables and large data imports.
• Proven performance tuning and SQL optimization experience (Explain Plans, indexing, query tuning).
• Strong skills in data analysis and data modeling.
• Expertise in debugging, exception handling, DDL/DML, and optimizing PL/SQL code.
• Experience creating materialized views and performance-related database structures.
• Hands-on UNIX Shell scripting for job automation.
