Sr. Dev Ops Engineer
Join Uber Ether, a leading organization in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Zero Trust solutions, as a Senior Dev Ops Engineer. This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our cloud‑based products, driving automation, scalability, and reliability across our systems.
About the RoleAs a Senior Dev Ops Engineer you will collaborate closely with development, security, and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure. You will play a critical role in automation, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, observability, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and cost‑effective cloud infrastructure in AWS or GCP.
- Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Atlassian, Git Lab CI, Git Hub Actions, or similar tools.
- Implement observability frameworks (metrics, logs, tracing) and enhance incident response practices.
- Build and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, Cloud Formation, or equivalent IaC tools.
- Partner with security teams to enforce best practices, identity management, and compliance standards (e.g., SOC‑2, FedRAMP).
- Collaborate with product engineers to improve deployment practices and accelerate delivery cycles.
- Proactively analyze system performance and optimize resources for speed, resilience, and cost efficiency.
- 5+ years of experience in Dev Ops, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Expertise with a major cloud provider (AWS or GCP) and hands‑on experience deploying production workloads.
- Strong background in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, GKE).
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and system architecture in cloud environments.
- Proven track record building scalable, resilient infrastructure.
- Experience with hybrid or multi‑cloud strategies.
- Knowledge of serverless technologies (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions).
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog).
- Exposure to regulated industries and compliance frameworks.
- Leadership experience mentoring junior engineers or leading cross‑functional initiatives.
This position is offered as a hybrid or remote role based in Sterling, VA.
SalaryBase salary range: $145,000 – $170,000, depending on experience.
