Our direct end client which is one of the British multinational universal bank is urgently looking to hire Senior Big Data Developer – Whippany, NJ (Hybrid). This is a Contract opportunity.

Nature of Contract – Contract Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Big Data Developer with a deep background in designing and building scalable, distributed data systems using Python and other core technologies. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the Banking or Financial Services domain, with knowledge of the Risk domain considered a strong advantage. You will be responsible for developing robust, high-performance data solutions.

• Architect, develop, and maintain large-scale, distributed data processing systems to support critical business functions.
• Design and build efficient, reliable data pipelines for both batch and streaming data.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts and applications to support data integration and automation tasks.
• Collaborate with engineering and business teams to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability across all data platforms and processes.
• Implement best practices for data governance, software engineering, and system scalability within a financial context.

• Mandatory: Apache Spark, Scala, Hadoop, Hive, Unix/Linux Shell Scripting, Apache Airflow, Apache Kafka.
• Secondary & Tools: Python, Java, Databricks on AWS, AWS Glue, EMR, S3.
