SENIOR SAP FI-CO expert

IKONS is recruiting an experienced Senior SAP FI-CO Consultant for a high-value professional opportunity.

Remote position.

Contract type: Freelance.
Duration: Long-term freelance opportunity with 6-month renewable contracts.

Location: International project based in Spain, but can be done 100% remote.

Language: English (mandatory).

SENIOR SAP FI‑CO expert, supporting financial processes and collaborating closely with business stakeholders in an international industrial environment.

• Provide expert-level support and configuration within SAP FI‑CO.
• Work with S/4
  
  HANA FI‑CO environments, supporting ongoing operations and improvements.
• Manage Treasury processes, including bank communication and electronic bank statement configurations.
• Configure and maintain bank file interfaces and integrations.
• Support Credit Management and Controlling, including cost centers and internal orders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PS, MM, SD) and ensure proper FI integration.
• Act as a trusted advisor to business users and FI managers, handling complex topics with autonomy.
• Participate in analysis, issue resolution, and continuous process optimization.
• Collaboration with senior stakeholders in a professional and well-structured environment.

• 5+ years of experience in SAP S/4
  
  HANA FI‑CO.
• 8+ years of experience in SAP ECC FI‑CO.
• Strong expertise in Treasury, bank interfaces and payment file configuration, Credit Management, Controlling (cost centers and internal orders).
• Solid understanding of FI integration with PS, MM, and SD.
• Experience with Vertex or other tax integration solutions (highly valued).
• Proactive and autonomous profile, capable of managing complex FI topics with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills in English (mandatory).
