About the position

GemOne is looking for a Dev Ops Engineer to join our Platform team within our broader Products organization. You will mainly be focusing on improving our existing infrastructure, as well as coming up with and implementing new solutions that drive our business forward. A flavor of what you will be doing:
* Design, develop, and maintain Terraform configurations for creating and managing GCP resources
* Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices
* Automate infrastructure deployments and configuration management using CI/CD pipelines
* Collaborate with product development teams to ensure smooth deployments and operations
* Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues
* Stay up-to-date on the latest GCP and Terraform features and best practices

On top of that, you can be asked to work on other value-adding projects for which Gem One knows and sees the potential it can bring to our own company and our customers, but which is to date still a greenfield within our organization
-therefore you will be able to play a pioneering role in exploiting these greenfields.

Given the importance of this role, a minimum office attendance of 3 days / week is required.## Required expertise & capabilities
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD)
* Scripting experience with languages like Bash or Python
* Knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
* Experience with a cloud service provider, preferably GCP
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Healthy level of criticism, i.e. not afraid to challenge the status quo
* Proactive mindset
-spotting problems / challenges, but also drafting the potential solution and acting upon it
* Fluent in English##

Experience with container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes)
* Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Cloud Monitoring)
