As Oura continues to expand, we are seeking a Senior Manager, Retail Sales – Amazon to lead and accelerate our Amazon business across the Americas. This role will be fully responsible for the strategy, growth, and operational excellence of the Amazon Retail channel. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the Amazon (1P, Vendor Central preferred) ecosystem
, including retail profitability management, operations, onsite visibility levers (digital merchandising and paid search), promotions, supply chain, and cross-functional program influence.
This role requires a strategic, data-driven leader who brings a strong POV on scaling high-growth consumer brands on Amazon and can partner effectively across internal and external teams to unlock category share and premium brand positioning across the Amazon platform.
Preferred location is San Francisco or New York, remote candidates will be considered.
What You Will DoAmazon Ownership & Business Leadership- Own the full P&L for Amazon, including sell-in and sell-through, profitability, demand planning, and retail operational metrics.
- Develop and execute Amazon-specific long-range strategies to drive sustainable growth, market share expansion, and brand awareness.
- Build and deepen relationships with Amazon Retail leadership, including category managers, vendor managers, retail marketing partners, Amazon Ads team and operational teams.
- Lead annual and quarterly Joint Business Planning (JBP) cycles, QBRs, and annual vendor negotiations - aligning Oura and Amazon priorities across sales, profitability, customer acquisition, site operations, supply chain and logistics.
- Drive growth through the intelligent use of Amazon programs (e.g., marketing packages, promotions, New-to-Brand programs, Brand Registry tools). Stay on top of new tools, programs and tests as they roll out.
- Manage annual promotional strategy (e.g., Prime Day, Black Friday /Holiday, HVEs) and ensure flawless execution across pricing, inventory, and marketing.
- Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Membership Experience, and Media teams to ensure plan alignment and unified brand presence on Amazon.
- Define and communicate Amazon-specific needs internally, ensuring Oura’s product roadmap and marketing investments support Amazon channel priorities.
- In partnership with Oura’s Supply & Demand Team, oversee demand planning, forecasting accuracy, and inventory health across US and Canada.
- Get ahead of and resolve operational issues, including chargebacks, andon cords, shortages, PO flow, content errors, and catalog integrity.
- Analyze category dynamics, competitive movements, shopper behavior, and retail trends to identify risks and opportunities.
- Leverage Amazon retail analytics tools (e.g., Amazon Retail Analytics Premium, Brand Analytics, other business reports, Stackline) to optimize Oura’s presence and performance on the Amazon platform.
- Deliver regular business performance updates to senior leadership, including KPI pacing, market share trends, Amazon Ads performance, profitability, and major program performance.
- Create Amazon-specific dashboards, quarterly business reviews, and actionable insights to guide strategic decisions.
