Cybersecurity Product Lead - Data Loss PreventionLead the enterprise DLP program for a major financial institution. Take ownership of end-to-end data protection controls, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure regulatory compliance while shaping the DLP strategy.
Responsibilities- Own the end-to-end vision, roadmap, and delivery of the organization's DLP capability.
- Act as lead owner for a portfolio of data protection controls across endpoints, cloud, and network environments.
- Translate regulatory, privacy, and business requirements into clear security use cases, product requirements, and implementation priorities.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives involving Cybersecurity engineering, SOC, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Business stakeholders.
- Represent DLP initiatives in discussions with key stakeholders (e.g. works councils, auditors, and senior management), ensuring regulatory alignment.
- Oversee the design, rollout, tuning, and continuous improvement of DLP controls.
- Define and track KPIs for DLP effectiveness, adoption, and risk reduction.
- Prepare reporting for audits, as needed.
- Coordinate DLP integrations with adjacent security domains, including SIEM, to ensure effective monitoring and detection.
- Manage relationships with key security vendors and lead evaluations of new DLP solutions.
- 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or ownership role.
- Strong background in DLP within large enterprise or highly regulated environments.
- Hands‑on understanding of enterprise DLP technologies (e.g. Microsoft Purview, Proofpoint, Palo Alto Networks, Symantec, or similar).
- Solid knowledge of data protection and privacy regulations.
- Experience working with auditors, risk, and compliance functions.
- Ability to lead complex security initiatives that balance regulatory requirements with business usability.
- Fluency in English - able to translate complex technical topics into clear, business‑oriented language.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g. CISSP, GREM, GCTI, or equivalent) are preferred.
- German language skills are a strong advantage;
