Cloud Computing, Systems Engineer, Azure, IT Project Manager
PAY: $60-65/hour W2. Our company offers our consultants a suite of benefits after a qualification period including health, vision, dental, life and disability insurance.
This is a contract to hire role; W2 Candidates only, 1099/C2C NOT POSSIBLE. This is a fully onsite role in San Diego, CA; there is no option for hybrid or remote work.
Key Responsibilities- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
- Utilize Azure Dev Ops for CI/CD pipeline creation, automation, and management.
- Implement and manage container orchestration using Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS).
- Develop and maintain Helm Charts for application deployment and management.
- Use Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
- Configure and manage Azure Virtual Networks (vNet) and other cloud networking components.
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, cost, and security.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in cloud computing and Dev Ops.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Platform Engineer or similar role.
- Strong expertise in Azure cloud services and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Azure Dev Ops, including CI/CD pipeline creation and management.
- Hands‑on experience with Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) and container orchestration.
- Knowledge of Helm Charts for Kubernetes application management.
- Proficient in at least one scripting language such as Python, Bash, Power Shell.
- Extensive experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC).
- In‑depth understanding of Azure Virtual Networks (vNet) and cloud networking principles.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Certifications in Azure (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Dev Ops Engineer).
- Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
- Familiarity with additional Dev Ops tools and practices.
- Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
