UChicago Medicine (Hybrid work with occasional onsite). The role is part of the IT Enterprise Architecture department located in Hyde Park, Illinois. Candidates must be based in the greater Chicagoland area and are eligible for remote flexibility.

Under general supervision, the ETL Programmer – Intermediate will solve complex BI and data analytics needs related to data acquisition, cleansing, and delivery of analytics dashboards and reports. The role also includes delivering projects and enhancement requests using traditional SDLC methodology, resolving production incidents, providing operational support, developing compliance plans, and collaborating with business stakeholders to design and implement solutions.

• Perform data analytics, build reports, and develop data extract scripts.
• Configure monitoring and alerting for production systems.
• Translate system requirements and solution designs into working solutions.
• Apply quality checks to ensure deliverables meet business requirements.
• Execute day‑to‑day development and support activities.
• Follow IT standards and processes for security and operational compliance.
• Provide operational support and plan for SLA compliance.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in programming, computer science, or related fields.
• At least 2 years of experience in systems analysis, SQL programming, and RDBMS modeling.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on ETL programming experience.
• At least 1 year of technical documentation writing.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with both business and technical teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication. Good interpersonal skills.
• Strong multitasking; self‑starter capable of delivering independently.

• 1+ year of Microsoft SSIS and BI tool experience (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, etc.).
• Experience with SSIS extraction processes.
• Experience in the healthcare domain.
• Experience with large enterprise systems and large data volumes.
