• Design, develop, and maintain robust database solutions supporting the Delivery Operations Information System (DOIS) modernization project
• Utilize AI tools like Git Hub Copilot for database optimization and code generation
• Manage data migration from legacy systems to cloud-native databases such as AWS Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL
• Implement data retention and archiving strategies in compliance with data governance policies
• Conduct database performance tuning to ensure high availability and scalability

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields preferred; or 4 additional years of relevant work experience if no degree
• 3+ years of experience in database engineering and management
• Strong understanding of data migration, ETL processes, and data warehousing
• Proficiency in relational and non-relational databases such as Postgre
  
  SQL, MySQL, and No
  
  SQL
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Database - Specialty)
• Experience in a USPS environment or similar federal IT projects
• Certification in database management (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate)
• Familiarity with modern database technologies and platforms such as Databricks and MongoDB
• Experience with Version One Agile Lifecycle Management Tool
