USTRANSCOM is seeking a forward-thinking Data Architecture Engineer to help develop a robust data infrastructure that supports global military logistics and strategic decision-making. As part of the JDPAC team, you’ll play a pivotal role in transforming fragmented data into actionable intelligence that powers the Joint Force.
This is more than a technical role—it’s an opportunity to shape national defense operations through data innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, validate, and update data schemas and ontologies to support the DPMO platform’s transition into the Advana environment.
- Optimize data flows from multiple sources into a distributed storage framework using efficient, scalable processing techniques.
- Implement scalable solutions capable of handling large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Conduct validation testing to ensure data completeness, accuracy, and proper transformation based on business rules.
- Confirm that integrated data meets business usability standards.
- Establish and maintain data health checks, alerts, and automated tests to ensure ongoing accuracy and consistency.
- Support senior data engineers in post-integration efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.
- A strong background in database architecture, data modeling, and distributed systems.
- Experience with data validation, transformation, and integration across secure environments.
- Familiarity with defense data platforms and cloud-based analytics environments (e.g., Advana).
- Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
