Akamai Technologies is seeking a Solutions Engineer II to partner with Fortune 100 companies to deliver innovative, next‑generation solutions and help prepare them for Agentic Commerce. You will act as a technical advisor and bring product adoption and account growth while driving successful deployments and industry‑leading best practices.

• Creating sales opportunities by managing the pre‑sales technical process and demonstrating Akamai’s technology to customers.
• Managing the technical proposal process and ensuring all technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are accurate.
• Turning customer goals into scalable, secure, and high‑performance architectures, driving successful deployments and industry‑leading best practices.
• Leading sales activities such as Technical Demos, Customer Analysis Reports (CARs) and Proof of Concepts (POCs).Maximizing customer satisfaction, retention, and growth based on the customer’s needs and business requirements.
• Guiding customers through design and validation using Akamai’s portfolio:
  Web Application Firewall, API security, Bot Management and Zero Trust solutions.
• Demonstrating how Akamai solutions integrate with AI‑driven workflows, automation frameworks, and modern Dev Ops tool chains.
• Advising customers on safe and efficient adoption of AI‑powered features within Akamai’s platform.

• 3‑5 years in a customer‑facing or consulting role in technical pre‑sales, sales engineering, or post‑sales.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, management information systems, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of the internet including but not limited to DNS, HTTP(S), APIs.
• Experience or interest in CDN architecture, cybersecurity, AI, SEO, and Dev Ops.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills communicating complex technical content to a range of audiences.
• Ability to work fluidly within account teams and cross‑functionally across Sales, Services, and Product Management.
