GDS Application Support Specialist

The GDS Application Support Specialist is responsible worldwide for ensuring, checking, and auditing GDS security requirements are implemented, promoting secure GDS designs and ensuring that our clients' and BCD Travel's data and GDS infrastructure are protected across the GDS system. This position continuously monitors the development and publication of GDS security measures and is the point of contact for these initiatives.

This role is pivotal in supporting our commitment to maintaining a secure and compliant environment for our clients and stakeholders.

• Conduct regular reviews of access rights, evaluate user provisioning and de-provisioning processes, and identifygaps in compliance with security standards
• Conductan annual audit to review compliance with GDS Security Standard, ensuring the systems meet both organizational and regulatory expectations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including PnC/HR, IT, and operations, to mitigate risks and enhance access management practices
• Ensure that access controls are implemented consistently and effectively to protect sensitive information and maintain operational continuity
• Be responsible for auditing and monitoring access control mechanisms to ensure adherence to internal policies, industry standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements

• Strong knowledge in GDS technology connectivity, security requirements, and opportunities
• In-depth knowledge of GDS product functionality and system/technical architecture
• You have significant experience in either Sabre or Amadeus, including system administration. Knowledge of other GDSs is highly desirable
• Prior hands-on travel agent experience on the system including working knowledge of all GDS platforms
• Ability to team well with others to facilitate and enhance the understanding & compliance to GDS and BCD Travel's security policies
• Proficient in Microsoft applications;
  Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio and Power point
• Ability to work effectively with customers, management, staff members, vendors, and consultants and articulate findings and recommendations
