IS Database Developer II
Care Oregon is looking for an experienced IS Database Developer II to play a key role in maturing our database and ETL development model across the organization. The position requires a strong background in database design, ETL development, and business strategy alignment.

Essential Responsibilities Database Development- Actively participate in the design of custom databases and processes.
- Provide advanced database design support; lead small projects with supervisor guidance and consult on larger initiatives.
- Collaborate with other IS teams on best practices for database design and development.
- Develop ETL processes for moderate to advanced activities.
- Develop moderate to advanced databases to support application and web needs.
- Analyze business requirements, research solutions, and recommend options including risks and mitigation.
- Maintain technology documentation, including current design and operation.
- Propose requirements, standards, and best practices for database and ETL development.
- Review existing systems to ensure compliance with standards and business empowerment.
- Conduct product and vendor research and present recommendations to senior devs and management.
- Maintain effective working relationships with vendors and equipment suppliers, including installation and repair of services.
- Minimum 3 years of database and ETL development. Experience should include: database development and maintenance, ETL development and maintenance, systems analysis and design, Agile/Scrum methodology.
- For data warehouse focused roles: minimum 3 years’ experience developing ETL for loading a dimensional model using T‑SQL and SSIS 2012, 2014 or 2016.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Additional experience in related technology support and/or operational positions.
- QNXT experience.
- Working knowledge/skills with Microsoft SQL Server, ETL tools such as SSIS or Informatica, Visual Studio, and unit and integration testing.
- General knowledge of Biz Talk (preferred).
- Advanced knowledge of dimensional modeling for data warehouse focused roles.
- Advanced troubleshooting of system performance issues and root cause analysis.
- Effective communication skills – listening, verbal, written, and customer service.
- Clear articulation of policies, instructions, and risk documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to convey details to all levels of the organization, including non‑technical staff.
- Initiative and motivation with strong collaborative skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
- Capacity to learn, focus, understand, and evaluate information to determine appropriate actions.
- Ability to accept direction and feedback, tolerate and manage stress.
- Ability to perform repetitive finger and wrist movement at least 6 hours per day.
- Ability to hear and speak clearly for at least 3‑6 hours per day.
