The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Senior Advisor

Responsibilities
  • Provide solutions including systems architecture, design, technical specifications, implementation plans, and testing methodologies to meet business needs.
  • Develop and implement Public Cloud strategies for Business Intelligence and analytics products.
  • Perform system repairs, upgrades, security vulnerability mitigation, and capacity assessments.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of system failures and implement corrective actions; respond promptly to customer inquiries and issues.
  • Evaluate BI reporting system architecture, processes, and recommend improvements; implement load balancing, high availability, and horizontal scaling on AWS.
  • Implement automation technologies within Cigna for BI processes, CI/CD pipelines, and log analysis for BI products.
  • Automate patching, upgrades, monitoring, alerts, and deployment processes for BI products.
  • Research and recommend new technologies to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Maintain a hybrid work schedule.
    • Qualifications

    Master's degree in Computers, Engineering, or related field with 3 years of IT experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of IT experience.

    Required experience with:

    • Web and enterprise application development using Java/J2EE, Python, Scala, and JavaScript frameworks.
    • Big data technologies such as HBase, Hive, Kafka, and Teradata tools.
    • Cloud services on AWS including VPC, Lambda, SQS, API Gateway, S3, EC2, and others.
    • Database management with Postgres, Dynamo

      DB, RDS, Aurora, Red Shift, Teradata.
    • BI platforms like Tableau and Thought Spot on AWS.
    • Infrastructure as code with Terraform and Cloud Formation.
    • CI/CD pipelines, version control, and build tools like Git, Maven.
    • Technical leadership for BI platforms on AWS.
    • Requirement gathering, technical documentation, and stakeholder communication.
    • Scripting, application server management, and API development.
    • Testing, pipeline configuration, and business-driven development practices.

    Note:

    Reliable internet connection (at least 10

    Mbps download/5

    Mbps upload) required for remote work.
