Senior Manager - Market Share Measurement & Analytics

Best Buy is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the transformation of its market measurement function into a robust industry analytics capability that delivers clear tracking, sharp performance diagnostics, and actionable insights for executive and functional leaders. This role is hybrid, with a mix of on‑site time in our Richfield, Minnesota office and remote work.

Base Pay Range: $/yr – $/yr

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients across merchandising, finance, marketing, and executive leadership.
• Identify and clearly articulate key business use cases and align them with the most impactful portfolio of insights, models, and data.
• Navigate a large, matrixed organization to drive alignment and influence decision‑making.
• Oversee a portfolio of external industry data sources, maintain vendor relationships, and manage contract negotiations and renewals in partnership with procurement.
• Continually monitor the external data landscape for new alternative data sources.
• Leverage technical expertise and partner with Data Engineering and Data Science teams to oversee data integrity and accurate data flow. Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities in external datasets and develop methodologies to reconcile them.
• Explore and manage data monetization agreements and opportunities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
• 7 or more years of experience in analytics, market research, or competitive intelligence.
• 5 or more years of experience applying analytical techniques to answer business questions.
• 2 or more years of experience leveraging data science and data visualization tools, such as SQL, Tableau/Power
  
  BI, SAS, R, and/or Python.
• 2 or more years of experience applying statistical and machine‑learning techniques to improve accuracy and predictive power of market share estimates.
• 2 or more years of experience managing teams and delivering results in a fast‑paced corporate environment.

• Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
• 1 or more years of experience influencing and presenting to executives.
• Experience working and coding within a clean‑room environment to enhance and maintain market share measurement models.
