Remote Application Consultant

Role Overview

Harris Computer is seeking a remote Application Consultant who will lead IT transformation projects for customers across Canada and the United States. The role requires up to 50% travel within North America and a valid passport/visa.

• Lead the implementation of technology solutions, ensuring client needs are met and project milestones are achieved.
• Provide business analysis through gap analysis, root cause analysis, and documentation to establish a comprehensive understanding of client requirements.
• Configure applications based on business processes and accepted best practices.
• Own user acceptance testing and change management, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and seamless training for end users.
• Create user documentation and support handover to assist support staff and maintain high customer care standards.
• Identify opportunities for additional product and service recommendations that align with client goals.
• Support Project Managers in managing engagement contracts, escalations, and project progress updates.
• Deliver implementation services efficiently, maintaining resource utilization and timely milestone completion.
• Provide subject matter expertise to R&D and operational groups, incorporating industry best practices to strengthen product market position.

• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across all levels of an organization.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with a willingness to engage deeply in client organizations.
• Experience working with both business and IT groups.
• Must be able to travel an average of 50% of the time within North America.

• Experience in system configuration.
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with Customer Information System (CIS) processes and functionality.
• Experience providing software implementation to the utility industry.
• Strong influencing and coaching skills.
