Distinguished Engineers are expected to lead through technical contribution. You will operate as a trusted advisor for our key technologies, platforms and capability domains, creating clear and concise communications, code samples, blog posts and other material to share knowledge both inside and outside the organization. You will specialize in a particular subject area, but your input and impact will be sought and expected throughout the organization.

In this role, you will define and drive the technical strategy for Server-Driven UI Frameworks, Platforms and Developer Experience Tooling and workflows that powers cross-platform user experiences across mobile and web. This high-leverage role involves crafting the full-stack architecture that will empower dozens of teams to build and iterate dynamic, performance user experiences.

Capital One is open to hiring a Remote Employee for this opportunity.

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 9 years of experience in Software engineering and solution architecture
• At least 2 years in Cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in Software engineering and solution architecture
• 10+ years of professional experience coding in commonly used languages like Java, Python, Go, JavaScript/Type Script, Swift, Kotlin.
• 10+ years of professional experience in the full lifecycle of system development, from conception through architecture, implementation, testing, deployment and production support
• 5+ years of experience designing and building an end-to-end SDUI platform, from the client rendering engines to the backend services.
• 5+ years of deep experience in client-side architecture for mobile (iOS/Android) including the design of shared SDKs or frameworks.
• 3+ years of experience with public or private cloud technologies

Chicago, IL: $280,600 - $320,200 for Sr Distinguished Engineer
McLean, VA: $308,700 - $352,300 for Sr Distinguished Engineer
New York, NY: $336,700 - $384,200 for Sr Distinguished Engineer
Plano, TX: $280,600 - $320,200 for Sr Distinguished Engineer
Richmond, VA: $280,600 - $320,200 for Sr Distinguished Engineer

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
