Business Intelligence Specialist - REMOTE

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist to identify and drive opportunities for information delivery and business intelligence solutions by utilizing skills in Power BI for our client.

The candidate will review, strategize, and optimize the current BI environment; identify solutions to improve data architecture, quality, and processes; and drive the implementation of solutions. They will assist with new user setup to ensure employees have proper access to Power BI and SQL reports.

The role involves developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for all production data warehouse analytics, dashboards, and reports.

Requirements:

• Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Power BI toolset.
• Working knowledge of data warehouse design, development, and maintenance.
• Ability to define both technical and reporting requirements to develop analytics from concepts to final reporting output.
• Ability to troubleshoot and provide end-to-end support for BI reports and database issues in live and development environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish and cultivate relationships with key partners.
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues to the original data source.
• Research skills related to data definition, usage, and flow to gain system expertise.
• Expert troubleshooting skills to investigate, resolve, and escalate problems, and identify when technical assistance is needed.
• Ability to summarize complex business cases, system information, and concepts clearly to leadership.
• Data and business analysis skills, including building data models, datasets, and documentation.
• Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications.
