Service Now Developer

As a Service Now Developer, you'll play a key role in enhancing how we design, build, and deliver technology solutions. We're expanding our Service Now development team to support both our internal functions and our external facing Tech & Service department. Softcat is already well underway with a multi-phase, multi-year investment in Service Now — providing an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to apply their existing expertise while exploring and utilising new features as the platform continues to evolve.

• Build, configure, and enhance Service Now applications, modules, and workflows to support internal business functions.
• Develop and maintain client scripts, UI policies, Flow Designer flows, and business rules to automate processes and improve user experience.
• Partner with the platform owner, process owners and stakeholders across departments to understand business challenges and translate them into effective Service Now solutions.
• Develop and maintain integrations between Service Now and other core internal systems using APIs, Integration Hub, or other tools.
• Contribute to internal documentation, standards, and best practices to support the maturity of the Service Now function.

• Proven experience as a Service Now Developer, ideally in an internal or enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of Service Now architecture, data model, and core modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CSM and TPSM.
• Skilled in JavaScript, Flow Designer, UI Policies, Client Scripts, and Business Rules.
• Experience with Web Technologies and platform integration methods (Hub & Spoke methodology).
• Experience with Service Now integrations (REST, SOAP, or Integration Hub).

• Hybrid working – 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.
• Working flexible hours – flexing the times you start and finish during the day.
• Flexibility around school pick up and drop offs.
