Tax Associate

Tax Associate (non-credentialed)

Location:

Remote Position (20 hrs./week) Duration: 3 Months Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer support via video, phone, and chat.
• Assist customers with their tax returns.
• Navigate multiple software applications and job aids to research and provide guidance on complex tax questions and prepare tax returns.
• Create an excellent customer experience using your tax experience and research capabilities.
• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Document notes and interactions with customers.
• Receive training.
• Be on camera at all times (no exception).
• Provide typing and chat support as needed.
• Meet multiple KPI standards weekly and maintain them for good standing.
• Hours vary each week; 2–25 hours during the season, 30+ during April peak demand.
• Hours are demand‑generated; not guaranteed and based on assessment level.
• Overtime currently not approved; may be approved if unexpected demand increases.

• Complete and pass a Full‑Service Glider Assessment.
• Active PTIN.
• At least 2 years experience and a minimum of 60 individual returns.
• Experience with tax preparation software.
• Technical proficiency and ability to navigate multiple applications and systems.
• Includes, but is not limited to, tax software, MS 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
• A dedicated, distraction‑free workspace with a hard‑wired Ethernet connection.
• No Wi‑Fi, satellite, or Wi‑Fi Box connection permitted.
