ZS AVR Digital, Technology & Operations CoE sits at the intersection of ZS’s Value & Access and Digital Products & Services teams. The integrated team is committed to applying innovative strategic, technology and operational solutions to address our client’s most pressing challenges in all aspects of the contracting life cycle.

The Tech Associate Principal – Contracting Systems is responsible for scaling the Quote to Cash (Q2C) practice by building on existing work in CLM, CPQ, modeling and operations and expanding into new or underdeveloped areas within Value & Access tech. This person will leverage their business expertise, analytic skills, and technology implementation experience to lead initiatives that help clients mitigate issues in revenue leakage, contract operations and compliance.

• Lead large‑scale client business development and delivery engagements in the life sciences industry (pharmaceutical and/or medical device sector).
• Build on existing work in CLM, CPQ, modeling and operations to drive recurring revenue and long‑term client engagement.
• Expand into new or under‑developed areas within Value & Access tech, focusing on pharma, Med Tech, and life science clients.
• Demonstrate deep life sciences industry sector knowledge with functional expertise across multiple aspects of contracting.
• Consistently deliver quality client services and drive high‑quality work products within expected time frames and on budget.
• Monitor progress, manage risk, and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
• Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client’s business.
• Effectively lead and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, MIS, IT, or another related discipline. MBA preferred.
• 15+ years of relevant consulting‑industry experience in pharmaceutical and/or medical device delivering multiple medium‑large scale process improvement and technology solution engagements in the contracting space.
• Strong “hunter” mentality with demonstrated experience of proactively opening new business and building executive‑level client relationships.
• Broad understanding of Contracts and Contracting functions including Master Data Management (MDM), Configure/Price/Quote (CPQ), Contract Life Cycle Management (CLM), Commercial Contracting (Chargebacks and Managed Care), Government Contracting (Medicaid, Government Pricing), Tender Management, Reference Pricing and Gross‑to‑Net.
• Demonstrated experience in implementing multiple contracting platforms – Salesforce, Conga, Model N Powered by N, Model N Flex, Vistex, I‑Cyt , Malbek or others.
• Characteristics of a forward thinker and self‑starter who thrives on new challenges and adapts quickly to learning new knowledge.
